What they offer

BlueChip Canine helps active dog owners in the Greater Portland area raise calm, capable dogs they can take anywhere. It works with dogs over six months old and focuses on practical, real-world skills.

Programs

Private in-home training sessions take place in the owner's home and neighborhood and focus on real-life situations. In day training with owner shadowing, the trainer works with the dog during the day while the owner observes and learns. An immersive board and train program has the dog stay with the trainer for training tailored to the owner's goals, and a sixteen-week foundations program is also listed. Structured group adventure hikes give dogs exercise and reinforce good behavior in natural settings.

How it works

Each client starts with a consultation to discuss goals, challenges and lifestyle, then chooses a program and takes part in the training, with ongoing guidance afterward.
