About Canine Academy of Berwick – Dog Training, Behavior Modification

What they offer

Canine Academy is a science-based dog training and enrichment business in the Berwick area that comes to the client, starting with a complimentary in-home meet and greet to plan training around the owner's goals and budget. Its training plans are customized for each dog and owner.

Training

The program covers self-regulation, impulse control and manners, leash skills, recall and off-leash skills, and socialization, including integrating a dog with other dogs, cats and children. The site has pages on dogs that cannot relax, leash reactivity, separation anxiety, resource guarding, household dog conflict, reactivity toward people, and owners considering rehoming. It also teaches public access skills and service tasks, and offers an online muzzle starter class.

Approach

The site emphasizes emotional and nervous system regulation, attachment-based bonding and overall well-being, and addresses fear, anxiety, reactivity and aggression through cooperative care techniques.
