About Canine Character

About

Canine Character trains from the Eastgate Shopping Center on East Patrick Street in Frederick. Trainer and behavior consultant Kim Yocklin is a certified pet dog trainer with more than 20 years of experience with dogs in and out of the show ring, and she completed a year-long apprenticeship in positive training.

Training

Group classes include Good Manners I and II, a puppy class and a tricks class, with handouts on body language, go-to-your-place and reactive dog resources. Private training and behavior modification use gentle, dog-friendly positive reinforcement for challenging behavior issues, and the business teaches owners to solve problems themselves.
