Blue Ridge Canine MD is based in Frederick and serves Frederick and the surrounding area, with training camps held at a partner boarding kennel in Union Bridge. It trains all breeds, ages and temperaments, specializing in manners, obedience and behavior modification with a reward-based balanced approach.

Programs

The Manners and Obedience Camp is a four-week board and train stay for dogs six months and older that targets jumping, leash pulling, over-arousal, nuisance barking, mild reactivity and household manners. Dogs learn heel, sit, down, stay, place and recall, calm behavior at home and neutrality in public, with off-leash recall if desired. The Behavior Camp is a board and train program, preceded by a thorough evaluation, for dogs struggling with severe leash reactivity, extreme fear, anxiety, resource guarding and dog aggression. Private lessons follow each stay to transfer the training to the owner, and consults and refreshers are also offered.
