About Cascadia Canine Training School
Private lessons and Day School in Bend
Cascadia Canine Training School is a private-lesson and day-school program in Bend, serving the dogs and people of Central Oregon since 2007. Its holistic philosophy makes compliance rather than food bribery the primary focus, drawing on techniques used daily by ranch and farm dogs, guide dogs, police detection dogs, military patrol dogs and search and rescue teams. Treats have a place in teaching new concepts but are phased out as soon as possible, and the program concentrates on the owner as much as the dog.
Experience
Bryan Castleberry has worked in the field since 1985, starting alongside Military Working Dogs as a USAF Security Policeman and later training under Rick Hughes at the Hollywood Dog Training School. Today Bryan and his team offer private training, group classes and Day School.
