Columbus All-Breed Training
About Columbus All-Breed Training
A long-running AKC training club
Columbus All-Breed Training Club (CATC) is central Ohio's AKC-licensed dog training club, in operation since 1953 and open to both purebred and mixed-breed dogs. It runs on a teach-you-to-train-your-dog model, helping owners coexist happily with their dogs and have more fun with them, whether the goal is a household companion or a dog-sport competitor.
Classes, sports, and membership
CATC offers training classes and AKC trials in obedience, rally, agility, scent work, barn hunt, trick dog, and Canine Good Citizen testing, along with puppy kindergarten, beginning obedience, conformation, and specialty classes. It operates as a membership club: annual dues let members train as many dogs in as many classes as they like, with access to two air-conditioned training buildings, fenced outdoor rings, and several fenced acres during training hours, plus a roster the site describes as 75 instructors. The club is a 501(c)(4) social welfare organization located on Williams Road in Columbus.
