About Connected Canine Training

What they offer

Connected Canine Training is a private lesson training business serving Bath, Brunswick and midcoast Maine. Owner Julia studied biology and animal behavior and trained her own rescue dog, who had serious behavior issues, into a confident, titled dog that now trains in agility.

Programs

Private lesson programs teach dogs the skills they need to join their owners on everyday adventures, from an off-leash beach walk with a reliable recall to walking calmly on leash through a busy farmers market. Clients can start with a free phone consultation.

Approach

Training is play-based and uses lots of positive reinforcement, along with clear boundaries, so the dog understands what appropriate behavior looks like. The site says owners will not be reliant on treats or scolding, and that the goal is a dog that can be trusted off leash in the woods, at family gatherings and in busy parks.
