About Disco Paws

This is the Steinway Street location of Disco Paws, in the middle of Astoria's main shopping strip and about a mile south of the company's Ditmars Boulevard branch. It carries its own address and its own phone number, and the same service set as its sibling.

What is offered

The published services are daycare, boarding, grooming and dog training, each with a page of its own, plus a pick-up and drop-off option. The business describes itself as serving Astoria and the surrounding areas and frames the whole operation around play – the site's own promise is that every day should be a party for the dog.

Training, stated plainly

Dog Training appears in the service navigation and in the business's own summary of what it does: "comprehensive services: daycare, grooming, boarding, and training." Ask on the phone before booking what formats are sold, at what level, and who teaches.

The daycare

The daycare is pitched on socialization and stimulation, with staff described as experienced in pet care and handling and attention tailored to each dog. Grooming and boarding run in the same building, and treats and toys are sold on site.

Practicalities

Booking and account management are handled through a client login on the site, and there is a blog and a contact page. Because there are two Astoria branches under one brand, check which location a booking is for – the Steinway and Ditmars addresses have separate numbers.

Who it suits

Astoria households near Steinway Street who want daycare, grooming and boarding within walking distance, with training available through the same business.
