About Dog Training Boca Raton – Matt Welch

Reactivity and leash pulling in Boca Raton

Dog Training Boca Raton is the business of Matt Welch, a professional dog trainer in Boca Raton who says he is certified by two-time world IGP champion Ivan Balabanov and has learned from him in person since 2015. Matt focuses on owners whose dogs pull on the leash, bark and lunge at other dogs and people, chase cars, jump, destroy things, ignore recall or show aggression.

Method

He calls his approach "Force Of Nature": working with a dog's genetics and innate instincts instead of against them. Training runs directly through playing games developed by Ivan Balabanov, which are meant to build a dog's confidence while teaching real-world obedience, with the emphasis on how the dog feels while it learns. He works with a wide range of breeds, from Pit Bulls, Malinois and German Shepherds to Doodles, Huskies, Chihuahuas and Yorkies, and shows dogs working off leash under control.

How it works

Matt does the training himself, then shows the owner how to keep the results. Prospective clients fill out a short application to see if their dog qualifies. Reach him at 561-504-1509.
