About Master K-9 Dog Training

Private training with the founder

Master K-9 Dog Training is based at VCA Hillsboro Animal Hospital in Deerfield Beach and says it has been training dogs since 1983. Training is offered exclusively one-on-one with owner and founder Eddie Garcia, so both the dog and the owner, as handler, get his undivided attention. Its method is described as positive reinforcement: correct the negative, praise the positive.

Courses

Courses include on-leash basic obedience, off-leash advanced obedience, basic and advanced protection, puppy kindergarten, Schutzhund training, poison proofing, housebreaking and problem solving for nipping, jumping and chewing. Training can be customized to an owner's needs, and the business also offers K-9 security and trains adult dogs for personal protection.

Boarding

Boarding is available for dogs of all sizes. Dogs are hand walked and exercised daily, runs are fan ventilated, air conditioned and behind a second security fence, and special diets, medication and veterinary services are available as needed. Visitors are welcome to tour the facility.
