Your Best Paw Forward is a Boca Raton dog training business run by George Barish, an experienced dog behavioral trainer who, by his own account, has trained over 100 different purebreds and countless mixed breeds in South Florida for more than 20 years. He is an active member of the APDT. George encourages positive reinforcement and praise to build a stronger bond between owner and dog, and he treats a dog's behavior as its way of communicating.

Sessions

Training covers basic obedience such as sit, stay, come and heel, advanced obedience, aggression problems with a tailor-made plan, behavioral training in the owner's home or business, housebreaking, and leash pulling, where he looks for the underlying cause and adds behavior modification exercises. Specialized training ranges from protection training to competitive obedience, and he can prepare a dog to take part in a wedding or special occasion. Sessions are usually once a week and work best when the owner practices daily, and group classes are offered too.
