Dog Training Does Matter
Overview
About Dog Training Does Matter
Training both ends of the leash
Dog Training Does Matter is owned by Tom Savoca and serves Coral Springs, Coconut Creek, Margate, Parkland, North Lauderdale and Tamarac. Tom believes positive-only methods are usually all that is needed to teach a dog a new behavior, but that a balanced approach, with properly selected tools used correctly, can change unwanted behaviors successfully and often faster. His focus is teaching people to communicate with their dog so the changes last, summed up in his line that "Dog Training has to do with BOTH ends of the leash."
Services
The menu covers group classes, private training, puppy training and therapy dog training, plus behavior help for problems such as nipping and reactivity. He also references the AKC Canine Good Citizen test items and links to his IACP dog training profile. His tips include never letting the dog pull, hand-feeding to build the relationship, and rewarding what you want while discouraging what you don't.
What owners say
One client wrote after a crate tip worked with his chocolate lab puppy: "I can't believe this worked absolutely incredible." Another family reported "a calmer, more obedient, and much less frustrated & more happy Jax!"
