About Onyx K9 – Dog Training

Companions to protection dogs

Onyx K9 is a South Florida dog training business near Parkland that trains working dogs, protection dogs, obedience dogs and family companions. It describes its programs as reward-based, using positive reinforcement to build trust, respect and clear communication while preserving each dog's personality, and its trainers as certified professionals focused on discipline and consistency.

Services

Basic obedience covers sit, down, stay, recall, place and leash walking. Advanced obedience adds impulse control and off-leash progression around distractions. Behavior modification targets reactivity, excessive barking, jumping and pulling. Puppy training covers socialization, leash introduction and potty routines, and private one-on-one sessions are built around each owner's goals. Protection training is customized to a dog's temperament and suitability and runs as a separate program after an evaluation. Individual 25-minute dog walks are also available, and a monthly membership combining walks and obedience training starts at $300 per month. Onyx K9 also sells professionally trained dogs.

What owners say
