Overtime K9 is a family-owned board and train and private training business serving Coral Springs and nearby South Florida towns. Owner and head trainer Eric Strzalkowski is Head Trainer for the Broward Sheriff's Office Patrol K9 Unit, responsible for the ongoing training of more than 20 active Patrol K9 Teams, and is certified by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement as a Canine Instructor and Canine Team Evaluator. He is credited with 8+ years of hands-on K9 training experience and is a NePoPo Silver School graduate.

Approach

Training starts from a foundation of positive reinforcement and is tailored to the individual dog, with the goal of behaviors that become part of everyday life. Owners learn how to maintain those behaviors at home. Help covers household manners, leash pulling, recall, place, down, wait, impulse control, off-leash obedience and refresher training.

Programs

The 2 Week Board & Train builds sit, down, place, loose-leash walking and house manners. The 4 Week program adds reliable recall, down and wait, impulse control and professional training tools as appropriate. The 6 Week program adds off-leash obedience, advanced recall, an emergency down and distraction training. If a dog does not perform the skills taught, additional training is provided at no charge under the guarantee's terms, and financing is available through Klarna.
