Dog Training Elite First Coast is a family-owned franchise serving Jacksonville and St. Johns, run by owners and trainers Ashley and Eric Gagne. Ashley serves as a firefighter in her local community, and Eric served six years in the military before working in law enforcement. The team works with dogs of any breed, size or age, starting with a free assessment at 904-750-3647.

Method and programs

Training combines balanced methods with positive reinforcement. Programs usually start with in-home sessions that involve the whole family, then move to group classes once basic commands are solid. Options include obedience, puppy training, anxiety and aggression work, group classes, boot camps, therapy dog training and service dog training for roles such as mobility assistance, autism support, PTSD and psychiatric support.

Packages

In-home and in-facility packages are priced the same. Silver is $1,595 for 3 one-on-one sessions and 8 group classes. Gold is $2,195 for 6 sessions and 12 group classes. Platinum is $2,795 for 9 sessions, unlimited group classes and off-leash goals. A psychiatric service dog program is $4,295.
