Meet the team

Dog Training Elite Little Rock serves Little Rock and Chenal Valley as part of the Dog Training Elite brand, which describes itself as family-owned with over 40 years of experience. The local owner and trainer, Debbie Zimmerman, came from a corporate background and once worked as an animal masseuse on canines and equines. She has competed in agility with her Akitas, as well as in Nosework and Treiball. The team also includes Kandice Byrum and Karsen King.

Programs

Training starts with in-home sessions that involve the whole family, and dogs can then advance to group classes. Programs cover obedience, puppy training, service dog training, anxiety and aggression, therapy dog training and group training, with in-home and in-facility packages. The Gold package includes 6 one-on-one sessions and 12 group classes, while Platinum adds more sessions, unlimited group classes and lifetime support with a goal of off-leash control. Service dog packages include psychiatric service dogs and personalized autism canines.

Method

The team describes a balanced training approach that also incorporates positive reinforcement, and the Gold and Platinum packages include an e-collar. Clients praise trainers Holly and Debbie for patience and clear written homework.
