About Dog Training Elite Southwest Florida

In-home and facility training in Venice

Dog Training Elite Southwest Florida works from 1562 S Tamiami Trail #4 in Venice and offers both in-home and facility training. It describes itself as a family-owned company and credits its team with over 40 years of experience. Training usually starts with in-home sessions that involve the whole family, and dogs then move on to group classes at the team's park locations to practice in busier settings.

Programs

The menu covers obedience, puppy training, service dog training, therapy dog training, anxiety and aggression work and group classes. Behavior topics include leash walking and heel, barking, reactivity, separation anxiety, jumping, chewing and digging, recall and boundary training. Packages come in Platinum, Gold and Silver tiers; Platinum aims at off-leash control, and the in-facility version is a day-camp format with five days of training at the Venice facility. Packages list commands such as come, sit, down, heel and place, and the top tiers include an e-collar, a place cot and lifetime group classes. Financing is offered at $1,000 down plus four interest-free monthly payments.

The team

The team page names Denise Yenchochic, an AKC Certified Trainer focused on puppy development, service dog, mobility and scent and diabetic alert training, and Alisa Kellington-Welsh, an AKC Certified Trainer and co-owner who designs the training programs. The company describes its methods as balanced and says it incorporates positive reinforcement into every program.
