About DOGMA

DOGMA runs two Manhattan facilities; this is the original, at 21 Seventh Avenue South in the West Village, open Monday to Friday 7:30am to 7pm and 9am to 5pm on weekends and holidays.

Services at this address

The site lists overnight boarding, dog daycare, grooming, walks and home services at the Seventh Avenue location, and names Absolute Dog Training among the services available there. Training is therefore something a client can book at this address, but it sits inside a care business rather than being the whole of it.

Agility

The part of the training offer the business writes about at length is its agility training and playgroups, described as a challenge for New York City dogs and defended on the grounds that an engaged dog is a calmer and more fulfilled one. Client accounts describe weekly agility classes and dogs qualifying for agility courses.

What a visitor should expect

The facility is a supervised social environment with walks, grooming and agility built into the day rather than a training school with a class calendar. Owners in the reviews describe puppies growing up in daycare there and staff who know the individual dogs.

The second site

DOGMA Garden in the East Village is listed separately with its own address, phone number and email, and carries the same Absolute Dog Training service.
