About Erica’s Dog Training

Park and in-home lessons since 2017

Erica's Dog Training is run by Erica Bergstrom, who has been training dogs in Salt Lake City since 2017 and has helped over a thousand dogs and their owners. She trained through a months-long in-person apprenticeship with Nitro K9, has since studied motivation-based methods and sport training for AKC obedience, mondioring and IGP, and has taken workshops with trainers including Michael Ellis. She uses play and balanced training, with hands-on experience in obedience, behavior modification, e-collars and service dogs. Erica is deaf and uses a cochlear implant, and trained her own dog as a Hearing Alert Service Dog, so she brings personal experience with service dog public access. She is also an AKC Obedience competitor with High In Trial awards.

Lessons and bootcamps

Private lessons start at $99 and can take place at parks, at home, at special locations or on hikes. In Home Bootcamps start at $1500: Erica comes to the owner's home five days a week for 60-90 minutes a day for 3-5 weeks. Board and trains are also offered. Training covers reactivity, off-leash work, obedience, puppy training, hiking with dogs and behavior rehabilitation.
