About Duran’s K9 Training

Jorge's training business in Plantation

Duran's K-9 Training is a dog training business based in Plantation, led by Jorge, a certified Dog Training Specialist. It serves Miami-Dade County, Broward County, including Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood and Coral Springs, and the West Palm Beach area.

Method

The team uses science-based, positive reinforcement techniques meant to build trust and create lasting behavior change, with each program tailored to a dog's personality, breed and the owner's goals.

Programs

Board and training is a residential program where the dog stays with the trainers for intensive work on basic obedience, advanced obedience and off-leash skills. Private one-on-one classes cover basic obedience and off-leash training. Virtual consultations by video cover puppy training, manners, separation anxiety, reactivity such as lunging and growling, and problem behaviors like jumping and barking. A self-paced online course on basic on-leash and off-leash obedience is offered in Spanish, with a weekly live Q&A, and Jorge has written e-books on puppy crate and potty training, general obedience, and training your own service dog.
