What they offer

F.A.I.T.H. Dog Training is run by Christy, who says she has trained dogs for 12 years and specializes in basic and advanced obedience, anxiety and aggression, reactivity, behavior modification and psychiatric service dog training. She offers group sessions, private sessions and training videos.

Courses and sessions

The Basic Obedience course runs six weeks and covers the basics, impulse control and problem behaviors, held at parks or at a store venue in Olathe. The psychiatric service dog course runs six weeks and covers tasks for depression, anxiety, PTSD and bipolar disorder. Behavior consulting sessions can be held at a place the client chooses, and virtual sessions by WhatsApp or Zoom are open to owners anywhere in the US. She also offers AKC Canine Good Citizen training and testing.

How she trains

The site says she uses positive reinforcement and correction methods but nothing harsh, and that choke chains, prong collars and e-collars are not permitted in her sessions.

About the trainer

She studied with Animal Behavior College, was mentored by a professional trainer, trained at Great Plains SPCA and worked as a trainer at a pet store chain before starting her own business.
