Family Dog Training & Behavioral Center is a training center at 3505 W 30th St South in Wichita. Its home page describes positive reinforcement, science-based training and lists group classes, puppy classes, puppy day school, day training, reactive dog classes, private lessons, in-home private lessons and behavioral consultations. It says it has been changing lives for dogs and humans since 1998.

Group classes

The group classes page lists puppy classes in two age groups (Puppy I for 8 to 16 weeks, Puppy II for 17 weeks to 9 months), a seven-week manners class, a three-week loose-leash walking class, Canine Good Citizen preparation, Rally, an introductory scent work class, beginner agility and an AKC Trick Dog class. Puppy classes start with a humans-only orientation and then six weekly sessions, with rolling admission.

Day training and behavior work

Daily drop-off training is for dogs 10 months and older, in two-, four- and six-week packages, and focuses on manners such as not jumping, loose-leash walking, coming when called and settling. The site says it specializes in reactivity and offers reactive dog classes, and it points owners with serious behavior concerns to behavioral consultations. The leash work class page notes that it is not meant for reactive dogs and sends them to the reactive dog class instead.
