About Furry Family Dog Training & Sitting
What this trainer offers
Furry Family Dog Training & Sitting works in and around Norwich and describes itself as a training and behavioral service. The published range runs from basic obedience commands "all the way up to advanced commands as well as service dog training", and the site is explicit that sessions are delivered both as private at-home training and as training in public, so a dog can be worked in the environment the problem actually shows up in. Dog sitting is offered as a separate service.
How the sessions work
The site's description of the method puts the owner at the center: it provides "tips, tricks, pointers, and homework to help build bond, trust, and basic/advanced obedience", and says owners will be working with their own dogs during sessions so that they end up with the skills themselves. The stated aim is that a client can look after their dog confidently anywhere, not only under supervision.
What it will not do
This is one of the clearer service boundaries published by any trainer in the area, and it is worth reading before booking. The site says it does not provide potty training, on the reasoning that a trainer cannot be present the hours an owner can. It does not offer overnight boarding — overnight stays are for dog sitting only, never for training. And it states that e-collar training, prong collar training and choke collar training are strictly prohibited, because the work is positive reinforcement only.
Prices
Rates are published. An initial consultation with the owner and dog runs an hour at $25. Training sessions are $150 to $300, which the site says depends on the type of training and the temperament of the dog. Dog sitting is $125 to $250 depending on length, travel distance and temperament. Payment is taken up front after the first consultation, by cash or digitally, along with a signed consent form.
Getting in touch
Contact is by email or by the phone number in the site footer, which differs from the number on the business's map listing — the site's own number is the one to use.
