About Grapevine K9 Dog Training
In-home training in Grapevine
Grapevine K9 Dog Training is an in-home dog trainer in Grapevine run by Tim Frazier, owner, behaviorist and trainer, serving Grapevine, Southlake, Colleyville and nearby areas. The site credits Tim with 40 years teaching dogs and owners. He started as Greenville, Texas's police K9 officer in 1987 after graduating from Adlerhorst International K9 Academy with his Belgian Malinois partner, and left a corporate IT career in 2015 to train full time.
Approach
Tim trains the owner to run the dog, in the owner's home and at the end of the owner's leash, rather than training the dog and handing it back. The foundation is obedience (sit, stay, recall, down, place), leash manners and household rules. His specialty is remediation of human- and animal-directed aggression, resource guarding and high-risk power-breed cases, and he is known for taking cases other trainers call unfixable. Clients range from Yorkie owners to families with 180-pound working dogs.
Sessions
Sessions are one hour, in-home, on weekdays, typically 6:00 AM-6:00 PM. Owners pay per session with no packages, prepaid hours or contracts, and stop when the house is working. Weekend sessions can be requested by email, and training notes are shared on the Grapevine K9 Substack.
What to ask
Ask the per-session rate and how many sessions a case like yours usually needs.
