About Heart Mountain K9

What they offer

Heart Mountain K9 is a family-owned training academy and pet resort on Big Horn Avenue in Cody, serving Park County and the wider northwest corner of Wyoming. The trainers began training professionally in 2012 and specialize in protection work, canine aggression and nosework, while covering everyday obedience as well. Owners are involved throughout, with sessions before a dog goes home and follow-up lessons afterward.

Training programs

Board and train packages range from basic on-leash obedience and a short camp focused on two problem behaviors to advanced obedience on and off leash and a puppy bootcamp covering potty training, socialization and confidence. Behavior rehabilitation is offered for aggression cases, and custom packages cover service dog tasks such as physical assistance and medical alert, as well as protection training. Day training adds two sessions a day to a daycare visit, and private lessons and small group classes run alongside, including AKC puppy classes, Canine Good Citizen preparation and scent work courses.

Resort and dock diving

The same campus offers boarding and daycare with group play and a wade-in pond, plus a dock diving pool open from May through October for private sessions.
