About Ramshorn Dog Training

What they offer

Ramshorn Dog Training is based on US-26 in Dubois, where it also runs boarding kennels and grooming, and its trainer travels for training sessions. The business takes its name from the nearby Ramshorn mountain peaks. Sessions are booked by the hour and built around what each family wants to work on, with the owner doing much of the handling so the training carries over at home.

Training programs

Basic training covers socialization, sit, down, here and leave it, and advanced training moves on to recall, heel, settle, wait and stay, and work around distractions. Reactive training helps dogs that react to people, other dogs, food, the leash, fences or prey, and fearful dogs get help building confidence and comfort out in the world. Service dog training is offered for dogs from one to five years old after an evaluation, and the trainer can help find a suitable dog from a breeder or a shelter.
