About High Fly’n Kennels
What they offer
High Fly'n Kennels is a gun dog and obedience training kennel on Juniper Drive in Mott, in southwest North Dakota. The site says it specializes in gun dog and obedience training, and that its programs are designed for all breeds, with attention given to teaching owners every aspect of their dog's training.
Training programs
A four-week puppy development program introduces a young dog to birds, gunfire and the e-collar, and the site recommends starting it at about six months of age. A four-week fall camp is tailored to each dog, and a ten-week spring and summer camp covers e-collar training, quartering, whistle commands and field experience. Private lessons and weekly obedience training are also offered, and a winter camp runs from February to March. Prices are quoted on request for the camps.
Background
The owners are bird hunters who also breed and raise Llewellin setters, run their dogs in hunt tests and Shoot to Retrieve events, and judge retriever events. The site says the lead trainer has been training dogs professionally since 1992 and trains all breeds of hunting dogs, from pointers to flushers and retrievers.
