Holistic Spirit Dog Training works with dogs who are aggressive, reactive, fearful or anxious. Its list of problems handled includes aggression to people and dogs, leash reactivity, resource guarding, separation anxiety, noise phobia, excessive barking and chronic housebreaking issues.

How it works

Each program starts with an extensive review of the dog's history, issues and habits and a customized plan. Behavior modification uses positive reinforcement and force-free techniques; the site states that shock, prong and choke collars are not used. An optional holistic layer adds essential oils, Bach flower remedies and canine acupressure.

Programs

The LUCKY DOG full program is three months of one-on-one work with lifetime text support and video feedback between sessions ($1,755 published). The SOS program is two private coaching sessions on managing and preventing incidents ($375). A Holistic Emotional Support Consultation is a $65 add-on.

In-person work is offered within 30 minutes of Montpelier, VA, including Hanover County, Ashland, Richmond, Manakin-Sabot, Rockville and Innsbrook; online sessions are available worldwide.
