About Honest k9

Honest K9 is a Virginia Beach business at 3661 Smokey Chamber Dr, but what its website sells today is equipment rather than training.

What the site actually is

The origin story is about a product: "It all started with a trainer looking for the perfect slip lead to help make communicating with dogs more efficient." The navigation is a shop – "Best Slip Leads in the Game", "Shop Slip Leads", "Pet Owner Favorites" – under the strapline "Teaching you the most effective way to communicate with your pup!" and the tagline "Where good dogs begin."

Training is advertised as not yet available

The clearest statement on the site about training is that it has not launched: "Training Courses – Coming Soon!", with the promise "Master your skill anytime, anywhere."

A wrinkle worth knowing

The testimonials on the page consistently describe hands-on private training and name trainers – and several of them credit a different business by name, Obedient K9, rather than Honest K9. That may mean the same person has rebranded or runs both, or that the reviews were carried across from a previous venture. If you are calling because a review impressed you, ask directly which business you would be booking with and who would turn up.

What to ask

Whether one-to-one training is currently being taken on at all, where it would happen, and what the trainer's background is. The equipment side is live now; ask about classes and prices too.
