The Indiana Canine Assistant Network (ICAN) is a nonprofit service-dog organization based in Zionsville that has served Indiana adults, children and veterans living with disabilities since 2002.

Method

ICAN trains assistance dogs to a high standard, with dogs learning between 60 and 80 cues by the time they graduate, preparing them for demanding real-world support roles.

Programs

The organization places mobility assistance dogs, psychiatric assistance dogs for military veterans, facility dogs, and in-home skilled companions, matching highly trained dogs to a range of needs.

Credentials

ICAN is the only accredited service dog organization in the state of Indiana and is accredited by Assistance Dogs International, underscoring the rigor of its programs across its Zionsville and Fort Wayne operations.
