Joyful Tails Dog Training is a Katy training and boarding business owned and operated by Kerstin Lynn, serving greater Houston and Katy under the motto "Practical. Positive. Lasting Results." Kerstin built her skills fostering and training dogs for local rescue groups, served as in-house trainer for a rescue, and says she and her family have fostered, trained and placed hundreds of dogs. She works with positive reinforcement and marker training.

Programs and prices

The board and train program has dogs living and learning in Kerstin's home; 14-day stays start at $1,600 for house-trained adults and $1,700-$1,800 for puppies that also need house-training. Private training at the client's home starts with a $150 consultation, with single sessions at $130 and packages from 4 to 12 sessions. The 10-day "reverse" board and train brings the trainer to your home for 1.5 hours a day, with a daily training log, for $1,300. A 6-week Puppy Headstart program is $680, and phone consultations are $50 for 30 minutes.
