About K9 Manners Matter

What they offer

K9 Manners Matter is a Santa Clarita dog training business that focuses on manners and behavior rather than obedience alone, aiming for dogs that behave well on their own as well as on cue. It describes its approach as humane, holistic and relationship-based.

Services

The business offers private lessons, group classes, day training, daytime drop-ins, AKC title evaluations and trick dog titles. It works on basic commands, puppies, behavior evaluations, advanced work and behavioral issues, including shy, fearful and reactive dogs and shelter dogs, and it works with families, individuals and handlers with special needs. Private sessions run Wednesday through Saturday and group classes meet on Sundays.

Method

Training avoids intimidation, force, choke chains, prong collars and shock collars. New clients fill out a history questionnaire before a consultation.
