About K9 Nutt Dog Training

What they offer

K9 Nutt Dog Training has been run by Dottie Dunnigan since 1991. She is a licensed dog obedience trainer with more than 30 years of experience, certified in kennel management and obedience training by the Pro-Train Dog Training Institute, and has taught classes for Ventura College Community Services and the City of Carpinteria.

Training

Private lessons take place in the Ventura County area, with online training by FaceTime, Skype or Zoom anywhere in the country. Each plan can include communicating with the dog, building confidence, handling distractions, reading body language, correcting behavior problems and socializing with dogs and people. Owners learn sit, down, stay, heel, wait, let's go and recall, along with hand signals and off-leash training.

Goals

Training can lead to pet therapy dog, AKC Canine Good Citizen and AKC companion titles. Appointments are by phone or text.
