About K9 Reflection
K9 Reflection is a New Bern dog-training business whose stated premise is that the household learns alongside the dog – the line at the top of its own site is "Yes, the humans need to be trained too."
What they publish
Their service list is set out as four areas, each customized to the owner's lifestyle: Puppy Training (manners, potty, crate, play biting); Basic Obedience (jumping, over-excitement, recall, pulling on leash); Fear and Anxiety (separation, fear of people, sounds or objects); and Aggression and Reactivity, which they frame in terms of timing, relationship and brain chemistry. They also run an Open Training session on Saturdays from 1-3pm at 3328 Neuse Blvd, priced at $25 and free for returning clients, and note that space in the most popular programs is deliberately limited.
Who runs it
Lauren Klein is the founder, owner and lead trainer, described on the site as having trained professionally for over six years with prior experience in veterinary care and in daycare and boarding, and as a long-time foster for dogs with behavioral needs. She works with the non-profit Paws of War (Eastern NC), which provides free service dog training to veterans and first responders; her role there is service dog task training and evaluating dogs for their AKC tests. A second trainer, Sara Seawell, is described as focusing on rescue and shelter dogs, particularly cases involving aggression and anxiety.
Where the work happens
The site names New Bern as the base. For anything beyond the $25 open-training session, contact them directly to ask about programs, pricing and availability.
