About King K9 Academy
What they offer
King K9 Academy trains dogs on a 15-acre working farm in Richmond with sheep, chickens, ducks, a training barn and wooded trails, so dogs learn around real distractions. One trainer works with every dog personally and takes no more than four dogs in training at a time, and dogs go on field trips to towns and stores once they are ready.
Programs
Puppy Head Start is a one-week board and train foundation for puppies three to six months old. The Cornerstone Program is two weeks of solid on-leash obedience, loose-leash walking and real-world manners without an e-collar. The Complete Program is three weeks of off-leash obedience, behavior modification and real-world proofing for dogs six months and older. For owners who prefer to train their own dog, small group classes run on the farm with a maximum of three dogs per class.
Getting started
Every engagement starts with a free phone consultation to discuss the dog, the goals and which program fits.
