About Lilac City Dog Training Club

What they offer

Lilac City Dog Training Club is a non-profit, volunteer dog training and obedience club based in Spokane and affiliated with the UKC. Its mission is to help owners train their dogs, from a rambunctious puppy or an older dog to a well-behaved family member and on to the highest levels of competition. The site describes its methods as praise positive, dog-friendly, fun and effective.

Classes

Classes run in eight-week sessions through the year, each class 45 minutes, with registration online before each session and vet records required. The fall schedule includes Beginning and Advanced Obedience, a STAR Puppy class, Canine Good Citizen and SPOT preparation, Nosework Foundations and Advanced Nosework, rally practice, conformation and a Leash Reactive class, and the club also teaches agility. Students who attend six of eight classes with the instructor's approval receive a certificate of completion. Members include AKC judges and handlers who compete in obedience, agility, rally, tracking and conformation, and many classes help owners prepare to show in AKC and UKC events.
