Force-free training north of the Twin Cities

Lucky Mutt Dog Training is a small family-run business just north of Anoka, serving Oak Grove and the greater Twin Cities. Head trainers Anna and Ben Rimbey specialize in force-free, positive reinforcement training, using methods in line with the American College of Veterinary Behaviorists and the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior. Both are AbsoluteDOGS Pro Dog Trainer Certified, and they describe more than a decade of hands-on experience training hundreds of dogs.

How they train

Alongside standard obedience cues, Lucky Mutt uses concept games to build natural self-control, relaxation and focus, so dogs learn that listening is fun. Coaching emphasizes consistent, rewarding owners, and topics range from household manners and recall to reactivity and behavior modification.

Services

Options include board and train, in-home training, day training and private online training. Online courses include 8-week programs for puppies (Rockstar Puppy Academy), adult dogs (Rockstar Dog Academy) and deaf dogs, plus Rockin' Recall & Focus and dog sports classes. Anna and Ben compete with their own dogs in disc, agility, flyball and dock diving.
