About Malachite Canine

Balanced training in Orlando

Malachite Canine is an Orlando dog training business serving the greater Orlando area, including Winter Park, Winter Springs, Baldwin Park, Maitland, College Park and Downtown Orlando. It helps overwhelmed owners rebuild trust, structure and communication, whether they have a new puppy or problem behaviors such as leash reactivity, anxiety and pulling.

Founder and philosophy

Founder and lead trainer Katie came to dog training from years working with horses, which taught her to communicate through energy, timing and presence and to lead without force. She describes her approach as balanced and realistic, built on clear communication, fair boundaries and a relationship of trust and respect, with no one-size-fits-all solutions.

Services

Board and Train is an immersive program in which the dog stays at the trainer's home in a structured, home-like environment, with follow-up support afterward. Private Lessons are customized in-home sessions for owners who want to learn alongside their dog, covering obedience, leash skills or behavior challenges. Daily Training sends the trainer to work with the dog at home Monday through Friday to build consistency.
