About Midwest Dog Center

What they offer

Midwest Dog Center is a training, boarding, day care and grooming campus at 3315 N 247th St W in Andale, west of Wichita. The home page describes puppy classes and basic obedience, a board-and-train program and private training, alongside boarding, doggie day care and grooming.

Classes and private lessons

Group classes take place on the Andale campus and include Puppy and Socialization, Basic Obedience and Advanced Obedience. The site says group classes run from September through February, taking a break only for holidays. Private lessons are offered at your home or on the campus. In each class the trainers teach handlers about dog psychology and ask them to be firm, fair and consistent.

Board and train

The two-week board-and-train package covers advanced obedience, off-line control and correcting bad behaviors, and it can be split into one-week plans.

About the business

The about page says the business was founded in 2013 by Hank and Lyneisa Cocking to provide families with protection dogs, and that its mission grew to include boarding, day care, grooming and training for all breeds. It says Hank is a retired Sedgwick County Sheriff's Deputy and K9 handler instructor, and that the business moved into a new facility in 2023. The services page says the staff has experience training dogs for protection and obedience and correcting bad behaviors.
