About Misfits Dog Training – Colorado Springs

What they offer

Misfits Dog Training offers balanced, relationship-focused training in Colorado; this location is on West Kiowa Street in Colorado Springs. Its in-home program is eight private lessons, the first four usually at home and the last four in public settings. The 3-week board and train moves from engagement and foundation obedience to introducing the e-collar and public training, then toward off-leash reliability, and ends with a 2 to 3 hour owner education session and a lifetime training warranty. A hybrid program combines four in-home lessons with a customized three-week board and train.

How they train

The site describes a balanced and fair approach: good decisions are rewarded with praise, affection and freedom, poor decisions are addressed clearly and consistently, and tools such as the e-collar are introduced when appropriate.
