About Misfits to Marvels Dog Training

Positive reinforcement lessons in San Antonio

Misfits to Marvels Dog Training LLC is a private dog training business in Northeast San Antonio, near 281 and 1604, run by owner Angela Hubner. Angela grew up in Germany, retired from a career as an engineer and consultant, and is now a certified Catch Dog Trainer and a member of the Association for Professional Dog Training (APDT). Her own dog Bandit went from a starving stray to Level 3 Treibball certification and sometimes helps out as her demo dog.

Method

Training uses positive reinforcement based on learning theory and behavioral science, teaching with treats, praise and play. Management techniques keep dogs from practicing bad behavior while training is ongoing, and every plan is tailored to the dog's needs and personality.

Services and prices

Private lessons take place in the owner's home or at a park and cost $95, with a 20% discount for dogs adopted from a rescue within the last 3 months. Angela helps with obedience, adoption transition, puppies, behavior modification and management, and tricks. The service area includes San Antonio, Universal City, Stone Oak, Selma, Schertz and surrounding areas.
