About Oak and Elm Tree

What they offer

Oak and Elm Tree is a small, locally owned dog training and grooming business on 5th Avenue South in Fargo. Its training uses science-based methods and positive reinforcement to help owners and dogs work as a team, and its founder and trainer is a CPDT-KA certified dog trainer.

Group classes

Classes are kept to no more than five dogs. The lineup includes an AKC Star Puppy class for puppies eight weeks to five months, a class for adolescent dogs from six to eighteen months, foundational and intermediate behavior classes, a Canine Good Citizen prep class with the test offered at the end, a confidence-building class for dogs that struggle with everyday life, and an accessibility and sensory-friendly class for people who need a different setting to succeed.

Private training

Private one-on-one sessions can be a home visit or a visit to the salon, with or without the owner present, and mini sessions at the salon work on cooperative care for grooming. A puppy day training program offers half-day, one-on-one sessions that introduce foundational behaviors and socialization.

Grooming

The business also offers full grooms, baths, nail trims and hand-stripping.
