About On Point

Private training in the Plainfield area

On Point Training is run by a CPDT-KA certified trainer who works in the Shorewood and Plainfield area. Sessions are held at the client's home, at the Plainfield training yard, or at other locations depending on need.

Services

Private lessons can include the whole family. Semi-private lessons let two or more friends share the cost of a session. Train the Handler integrates training into day-to-day activities, in group or private format. Two programs run with a Plainfield daycare and boarding facility: Play and Train, a package of six private sessions held while your dog attends daycare, and Board and Train, with sessions scheduled during a boarding stay.

Approach

The site says it builds a foundation where the dog learns to go with you, come to you and be still. It addresses pulling and reactivity and puts weight on mindset, working through resistance, and the owner as a leader.

What to ask

Ask which format suits your dog, where sessions would take place, and how the daycare and boarding programs are booked.
