About Pavlov Dog Training – Fort Collins

What they offer

Pavlov Dog Training – Fort Collins is the Fort Collins location of Pavlov Dog Training, at 2528 Constitution Ave. Its main program is a hybrid: two to three weeks of board and train, then three to five private lessons so you learn to keep the training going, with an in-home lesson if you live within twenty-five minutes of your trainer. Board and train options include on-leash obedience, off-leash obedience with electronic collar training, a puppy camp for 3-6 month olds in the trainer's home, and behavior programs for dogs that bark and lunge on leash, threatening behaviors, and mild to moderate separation anxiety, fears and phobias. Graduates get lifetime access to free group classes and pack walks. A puppy preschool takes pups from 8 weeks.

How they train

The site says its trainers are fluent in both traditional and contemporary training, which some call balanced dog training: polite behavior is rewarded and rude or threatening behavior is corrected. It says tools may include toys, prong collars, electronic collars, physical touch and spatial pressure, and that behavior programs require a remote electronic collar. The site names Chelsea as the primary Fort Collins trainer.
