About Pawdre Smart Training

Pawdre Smart Training in Corpus Christi

Pawdre Smart Training is an in-home dog training business serving Corpus Christi and Padre Island, owned by trainer Kacie Hodges. Kacie began her animal training career in 2004 at the Texas State Aquarium, moved to working full-time with dogs in 2007, and has experience as a veterinary technician and as a behavior specialist for local rescue groups. She is especially passionate about training service dogs.

Services

Private coaching sessions come to the client's home, and intensive day training lets the dog train while the owner is busy, with results transferred back afterward. Other services include service dog training (medical alert, mobility assistance, psychiatric support, hearing and emergency response work), socialization, puppy training, behavior modification for aggression, reactivity and separation anxiety, off-leash reliability and bird dog prep.

Method

Training focuses on clear communication, structure and rewarding the behaviors owners want, practiced in the real environments where problems happen.

What owners say

Barbara M. wrote of her anxious rescue: "In six short weeks, Kacie has given us back our happy boy!"
