Pawsitive Companionship trains in clients' homes around Memphis and organizes everything into three named programs, which makes it unusually easy to work out whether they are the right fit.

The three programs

Polite Paws is the foundations track – "Pawsitive Foundations for puppies or basic manners training for dogs" – delivered as "personalized coaching in your home using positive and simple methods", whether you are settling a new puppy or living with an older dog that needs manners. Harmony at Home is the household behavior track: "Get support for challenging behavior, including resource guarding, fearfulness, barking at visitors, and inter-dog conflicts." Stress-Free Strolls is the reactivity track – "Many dogs struggle with reactivity, including barking and lunging at other dogs and people. Through private training and group classes, we'll give you the skills you need to navigate walks with confidence."

How they describe the method

Three commitments: training for the real world, so the dog behaves "from politely greeting visitors to walking calmly around the neighborhood" rather than only in session; "Science made simple", meaning "We take complex training concepts and break them down into simple, practical steps"; and support that continues past the session with written resources.

The trainer

The site names Ann Marie Easton as the trainer and publishes her post-nominals as Ph.D., CPDT-KSA, PMCT4, FFCT, describing "over twenty years' experience working with dogs and their humans" and a focus on "the science and art of dog training and behavior".
