About Pawsitive Pup Unleashed
Who runs it
"I am Danielle Phillips, Owner and Trainer at Pawsitive Pup Dog Training LLC." Her About page gives the arc — "I came into the world of dog training as a child with a hobby and a dream" — and the credentials: "Practicing for a lifetime and Training Professionally for 5+ years, I am an Approved AKC Evaluator as well as a Professional Member of the Association of Professional Dog Training International." She also notes "experience as a Vet Tech," and that the business is "insured and a registered LLC business."
The approach
Stated in her own terms: "We train using ethical, dog-friendly training methods that are science based and revolve around the use of positive reinforcement. We uphold the standards of the LIMA Guidelines and strive to educate owners about proper and fair training techniques." The site's own strapline is "Ethical, Effective, Easy."
What they offer
Lessons and classes: single lessons "taken at your home or at pet friendly locations based on your goals," four-week and six-week packages, adult and puppy group classes, and an evaluation or consultation "If you are unsure of where to start on your training journey." The site also mentions "Private or Group Lessons at Petsense."
Board and train, in three named tiers: "Puppy Bootcamp. A 2-3 week program designed just for puppies!"; "The Basics. A 2-3 week program to achieve a solid foundation for desirable, at home behavior."; "Advanced / Public Access. A 3-4 week program focused on public etiquette or a more advanced level of training." Three further plans exist — "a Task Training Program, Adventure Dog Program, and Therapy Dog Foundations Program" — each requiring "at least a 15-30 day stay."
Boarding and daycare are offered, with add-ons priced: the Mobile Gym at $25, training during a boarding stay at "$25 per day of Training," adventures at "$25 per adventure" and nail trims at $15.
The Mobile Dog Gym is its own service: "A climate controlled, at your door experience to exercise your dog," bookable as single sessions or four- and six-packs.
A distinction she draws herself
On the specialist board-and-train plans: "These programs DO NOT certify your dog to be a service or therapy dog (please see the ADA website for more information about service dogs), they will simply give your dog the foundation and training they need to fulfill that job."
Her own fairness policy
On nail trims: "If I am unable to safely trim your dogs nails, I will NOT charge you." On boarding-stay training: "If I am unable to work in any training, you will NOT be charged."
What clients say
The site publishes three reviews, including: "Danielle led training sessions for my dog and then kept her for two weeks for a more intensive training. I trust her completely with the health and happiness of my pet."
