About PawTuitive

What they offer

PawTuitive offers in-home dog training in Athens, Decatur and Madison. Its main option is a long private consultation in your home, or a local outdoor spot, that teaches you to lead your dog and work on specific problem behaviors, followed by a phone or video check-in and ongoing phone and email support. The home page lists work on leash pulling, dog-on-dog aggression, jumping on visitors and poor recall. A premium package adds a second at-home lesson and access to a video library, and a Next Chapter program offers a reduced-rate in-home session for people who have recently adopted or are fostering a shelter dog.

Approach

The home page says it uses natural, gentle techniques based on a dog's own psychology, and that it works without food bribes, yelling, fear or force, harmful collars or gadgets. It names Andi Johnston as the trainer and says she is certified through the Dog Trainer Academy and volunteers at local shelters.
