Classes inside the Barre Petco

Petco Dog Training in Barre runs group and private classes inside the Petco store at 168 Ames Drive. Training is built around positive reinforcement and practical skills for everyday life, rewarding good behavior rather than punishing unwanted behavior. Group classes have a maximum of four dogs, and all breeds and sizes are welcome.

Classes and prices

In-store group classes run for six weeks of hour-long sessions at $149 per course. Puppy class (8 to 16 weeks) covers potty training, socialization and foundational cues; Beginner (16 weeks to 6 months) adds loose-leash walking, "leave it" and "wait"; Fundamentals (6+ months) works on core cues, loose-leash walking and curbing jumping and barking; and Advanced (6+ months) covers heel, recall with distractions and polite greetings. Private 45-minute sessions start with a $39 Private Lesson 101 for new customers, with packages of 4 sessions for $249 and 6 sessions for $329.
