Petco Dog Training at 179 N Milwaukee St in Boise offers in-store group courses and private lessons, with training hours every day into the evening.

Group courses

Group courses are six weekly hour-long classes for $149, with up to four other dogs. The Puppy class (8 to 16 weeks) covers potty training, socialization and cues such as sit, down and come. The Beginner class (16 weeks to 6 months) builds on that with loose-leash walking, leave it, wait, tricks and games. Fundamentals, for dogs 6 months and up, works on the core cues and on curbing jumping and barking, and Advanced works on heel, recall with distractions and polite greetings.

Private lessons

Private lessons are 45 minutes one-on-one with a certified trainer. A first Private Lesson 101 is $39 for new customers, and packages are $249 for 4 sessions or $329 for 6.
